British Columbia, Canada - is our home. We love the hiking and mountain biking in the Rocky Mountains. Wildlife is abundant. We often see Elk, Deer and Moose. With the odd sighting of Cougars, Wolves and Bears.

My name is Janice Spate - The four years I lived in Mexico has stolen my heart in so many ways. The people of this country have been overwhelming with kindness and patience while I learn Spanish. When I am home in western Canada what I miss the most is the warm welcome greeting (a peck on the cheek) you automatically get when you walk up to any one you know. Life is celebrated at a slower pace and savoured with every breath, people are rarely in a hurry. We must always find time to chat on the street and if we are in a rush, our friends find it rude — yep turn back the clock and take a breath — that’s what it’s all about. The beauty in Mexico never ceases to amaze me — tropical plants the size of trees, flower blooming season is like a perfume bottle, the sea is a collage of greens and blues, the ocean is warm, the fish full of color, the weather is just fantastic. Even rainy days are not depressing — just a curl up book day.

Jeff Collins and I met in British Columbia and we have been together ever since. Jeff left a lucrative job in Software Development to begin a new life assisting people in experiencing Mexico, his second love. Both Jeff and I will do our best to find you the right Villa to make your vacation in the Yucatan, one to remember!
